Biography

Formal education

  • 1987 – 1994 Music School "Ruđer Bošković", Metković
  • 1994 – 1998 Art Gymnasium "Luka Sorkočević", Dubrovnik
  • 1998 – 2005 Music Academy, Zagreb, majoring in music education

Education in Metković, Dubrovnik, and Zagreb

At the age of 6, she first competed in a children's festival. From the age of 6 to 14, she won many competitions, including "Voice of Neretva" in Metković and "Children Sing Hits" in Sarajevo, where at the age of 12 she recorded 2 songs for the then Jugoton as one of eight children who went on a tour of former Yugoslavia as part of that children's festival.

In Metković, she completed primary music school, and in Dubrovnik, she enrolled in secondary music school. In high school, she led vocal technique in the Dubrovnik choir and sang as a lyric soprano classical pieces, arias, with the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra as one of the better students of solo singing in the class of Professor Dubravka Dabelić. She complemented her enviable musical knowledge with performances at numerous festivals where she often won various recognitions and awards.

She moved to Zagreb in 1998, where she enrolled in the Music Academy, and during her studies, she performed as a lead and backing vocalist for numerous musical groups. She also enhanced her singing knowledge by recording studio "backs" for famous pop stars, with whom her longest collaboration was with Toni Cetinski in Croatia (a four-year collaboration, on Toni's album "A sada." she wrote the song "Ostani zauvijek") and Amila Glamočak in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She also worked at the private music school "Mikrofon star" as a singing professor.

Feminnem

After finishing the academy, Pamela began her solo career. In the competition Hrvatski Idol, victory eluded her by a few votes, and in 2005, together with Neda Parmać and Ivana Marić, she founded Feminnem, in which she was active until its end in 2012. With the group Feminnem, she performed at the Eurovision Song Contest, in 2005 in Kyiv as a representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in 2010 in Oslo as a representative of Croatia. She also participated multiple times in other Croatian and foreign festivals where she and the group won various awards.

After 2012

After 8 years spent in the group, in 2012 she began her solo career. The first single "Ti me ne voliš", an energetic ballad for which she wrote both the lyrics and music, showed that "she means business", followed by the house song with an interesting title Mamin sin, which brought her closer to a younger audience and performed excellently on the charts in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. She taught music culture in schools Ante Kovačića, Frana Galovića, and Tituša Brezovačkog in Zagreb. She is working on her first solo singer-songwriter album produced by Ante Pecotić and Boris Đurđević. Recently, she released two more successful singles "Kad tad" and "Zajedno smo najbolji" which announce the release of the album in autumn 2013. She also received the lead role in the musical "Les Misérables" which will premiere on September 27 in the Varaždin Arena. Currently, she is performing again with the group Feminnem after their reunion in May 2022.
