The age of the archaeological finds dates back to the beginning of the 19th century. Recent research has found an iron Roman spear, a bronze axe, a fibula, hooks from the prehistoric period, and various fragments of pottery, including Greek and Roman amphorae and local prehistoric pottery. Desilo is today a promising archaeological site, with the range of found artifacts dating from the 2nd millennium BC to the 2nd century BC. The site is currently in a phase of dormancy, but further research and its tourist valorization are being prepared.
