It was founded on July 28, 1958, under the name "Hercegovka" - Knitting Factory Čapljina. The main activity of this factory was the production of upper knitted clothing - men's, women's, and children's. At the beginning of its operation, it employed only 6 workers. In 1989, the factory had about 400 workers. The most modern electronic equipment for the production of knitted clothing was introduced into the production processes. The factory's plans for that period anticipated the production of 500 thousand pieces of upper knitted clothing products and a total income of about 40 billion of the then currency dinars, including about one million dollars in exports. The factory produced quality knitted goods that were able to withstand fierce competition both in the domestic and foreign markets.
