Jasmin Repeša (born June 1, 1961) is a basketball coach and former player, born in Bosnia and Herzegovina, of Croatian nationality. He last served as the head coach of the Italian club Trapani Shark in Lega Basket Serie A.
During his coaching career, he won numerous trophies with clubs, and as a player, he began his professional journey at KK Čapljina. His son Dino Repeša (born 1992) is currently the head coach of KK Split.
Early Life
Repeša played for his home club KK Čapljina during the 1980s, where he started his professional basketball career.
Coaching Career
On June 21, 2013, he was appointed head coach of KK Cedevita. His son Dino was his assistant. In the first season, the club won the Croatian championship title and reached the semifinals of the ABA League playoffs. In April 2015, Repeša announced his departure from the bench for health reasons, and in June of the same year, he officially resigned, after which he was replaced by Veljko Mršić.
On June 26, 2015, he signed a contract with the Italian giant Olimpia Milano. In June 2017, he was dismissed.
At the end of December 2018, he was appointed coach of KK Budućnost, but in April 2019, after a loss to KK Crvena zvezda in the ABA League final, he resigned.
In June 2020, he returned to Italy and took over Victoria Libertas Pesaro, but at the end of the season, he mutually terminated the contract.
On May 24, 2021, he signed a multi-year contract with Fortitudo Bologna, but already on September 26, 2021, he resigned after just one league game.
After a year of working as a sports director in the Croatian Basketball Federation, in June 2024, he took over Trapani Shark, a new member of the Italian Serie A. In the season, he achieved a record of 22–8, led the team to second place in the standings, and to the first playoff appearance in the club's history. The club also qualified for the Basketball Champions League for the 2025/26 season. In December 2025, he left Trapani.
National Team Career (Coaching)
After Croatia's failure at EuroBasket 2005, Repeša took over the national team from Neven Spahija. He led Croatia at EuroBasket 2007, the 2008 Olympic Games, and EuroBasket 2009.
On February 9, 2012, he was reappointed as the head coach of Croatia, replacing Josip Vranković. At EuroBasket 2013 in Slovenia, he led the national team to the semifinals, which was the best result in 18 years. He also led the team at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, after which he left the bench.
On September 2, 2018, he was appointed interim head coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, after Duško Vujošević resigned for health reasons. In November of the same year, he was replaced by Vedran Bosnić.
Jasmin Repeša remains one of the most prominent coaching names in Croatian and regional basketball, with a rich international career and significant successes at both club and national team levels.
