King Tomislav Square

The monumental monument by sculptor Petar Barišić in the central King Tomislav Square in front of the municipal building commemorates a thousand years since the coronation of the first Croatian king Tomislav in the Duvno field, raised on July 5, 1925, by the Croats of Čapljina and the surrounding area. This monument not only fascinates with its appearance but also adorns the entire Square. This is a place where all major events of the city take place, starting from the winter and summer carnival, concerts, and folklore performances to summer music performances by amateurs and professionals. Above all, the Square is a gathering place, a conversation spot, and a photography location for young couples stepping into a new married life.
